Whadda Weekend!

So here’s how my weekend went in dot point form:

 • Friday night I went to a worship concert at my church. My friend Silas opened. A band named the Memiors came on second (I really liked their style!) and my friends’ band closed. They were all really good and it was nice to spend some extra time with my church friends. :)
 • Saturday I went to Fort Worth with my amazing friend Lizz! We stopped off at Costco and tried all of the samples they had - win! :D Haha. We had lots of fun taking pictures, driving around and trying to find places to explore.
 • After that, I went straight to church for the college bible study. I hadn’t been in a couple of weeks, so it was nice that I got to hand out with a small group of friends.
 • Sunday church service was the senior recognition. It was really nice. Even made me a little emotional! Golly! It made me realise that this is the end of my highschooling. :(
 • After church we had a lunch at Allie’s house for the ORBC graduates and their parents. It was fun. We ended up playing a whole heap of skit games. On my way home I was invited to Caleb’s graduation party that night.
 • I went pretty much straight back to church for my human video practice for the next couple of hours. We are performing it on Sunday, btw.
 • From there I was dropped off at another church where I got to see the kids graduate from their AWANA’s class. It was nice!
 • Finally, I was picked up from there and went to Caleb’s graduation party! It was really fun and I met lots of new people. We played this cool game called Apples to Apples, Spoons and I Never. I had a really great time and was glad that Sam invited me. :)
 • Then I came home and slept.

School has been very normal this week. Everything is starting to wrap up! I have pretty much a blow off week next week seeing as I don’t have to take the final exams because I’m passing everything then the week after that is the graduation prep week. I won’t really be going to school too much that week because I don’t want to sit in the library all day while the other seniors practice graduating. :)

Mothers Day!

For Mothers Day we went to Fort Worth. :) It was really lovely. We went to lunch at a Mexican/Indian restaurant called the Blue Masa, it was really yummy. They had these sweet potato chips - super good. We were told there would be a two and a half hour wait, so we put our names down and went to the Botanical Gardens down the road to take some family pictures. Moe tripped and got a nice ‘boo boo’ on his knee, but luckily forgot about it after a while. I loved taking pictures! I’m just THAT camera shy. :D I also made Laureen a nice little card for Mothers Day too. I told mum Happy Mothers Day about a million times on skype too. :)

PS. We went and saw the movie Thor on Saturday too! It’s SO good. I highly recommend it.

Confiscated

I had my phone confiscated today! It’s so ridiculous. I’m not at all happy about it! Apparently at Midlo, you can’t even have your phone sitting on the table next to you at lunch without it being taken away! D:< I wasn’t even using it.

So, until Wednesday I am without a phone. That’s not too big of a deal, it just makes organizing things a little bit tricky. I’m particularly annoyed that I have to pay an additional $15 to get it back! That’s crazy.

Oh and to top it off, it was the same teacher who sent me to ISS on my first week. UGH!

Party!!

I had my birthday party yesterday afternoon. It was fun! :D A lot of people couldn’t make it and diced last minute, which totally sucked. However, the people that did come were awesome and we had a really good time. Friends. Talking. Joking. Twister. Cake. Ben’s Game. It’s always fun to hang out with people my own age. :D

My cake turned out beyond amazingly. My host mummy is a cake maker extrodinaire! :D I will definitely be posting picture of it sometime, when I get caught up with life and homework first. :D

Scrapbooking!

I spent about 8 hours today doing my scrapbook for my English assignment. I’m really proud of it. :D I used pretty much all of my papers and photos too. :) Yay! I’ll maybe post pictures of it soon.

I decided to treat myself to a new dress in honour of my birthday! :D Like it? I also got new shoes. I figured I haven’t been shopping over here very much, so this was totally okay. :)
I had a really great day! It was almost overwhelming how many people said happy birthday to me. :) Thank you if you are reading this! My astronomy was really nice and brought my class and I cupcakes today. He doesn’t do things like that ever. I felt very special. :D I also decided to splurge and get cafeteria food today too. It was over priced, but worth it. :)
It’s crazy to think I’m finally 18! Wow! :D

ZOO!

I went to the Fortworth Zoo on Thursday because seniors had the afternoon off due to TAKS testing. So, a whole group of my friends and I went to ihop and then to the zoo. It was really fun. I guess because I’ve been hanging around my friends from church so much, I forgot what it was like to just go somewhere unfarmiliar with a group of friends. I don’t know if that makes a whole lot of sense. But it was really fun! The animals were all really well looked after and seemed pretty comfortable, which is always good. The White Bengal Tigers were one of my favourites. However, I think Zebra’s won overall. :) I can’t wait to do more stuff with these kids. They rawk!
